When I first read the title, I was thinking Mario Lopez, so glad this was not about him going into in The Heights.
I'd be curious to see who they have her play. She's too old to have completed her first year of college and too young to play one of the parents. I guess she could play the role of the salon owner? I just hope they keep her husband out of the movie.

Was I the only one who got REALLLY scared and thought this was about MARIO Lopez?
I thought J.Lo was producing the movie version. She'd definitely play Daneila in that case.

As long as she's Daniela, it doesn't sound like a terrible idea. If she wanted to play any of the other roles, it would be beyond stupid and I would laugh at her.

The article says her agent said she is not Broadway-bound.
She's not doing the show.

I definitely thought it was about Mario Lopez and went "This better be a joke."
Personally, I'd like her to stay away from the movie too, but I guess as long as she played Daniela it wouldn't be TOO horrible.

Posted: 1/27/09 at 11:04amI'm sure she'll pop up somewhere in the proposed film if it even happens. I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope she doesn't direct it. I wouldn't mind seeing her as Daniela, although I think someone like Rosalyn Sanchez or Ana Ortiz would be much more appropriate for the part.

Wasn't it rumored that Lopez would be producing the film version when it was initially announced?
She'd be a hoot as Daniela.

i think she would be great as Daniela ! but i doubt she want to direct it she never did it and she's not gonna start with a Musical.

i always envision Ana Ortiz as Daniella. But Lopez would be a great second choice. Also I could see Ortiz playing Carla next to Lopez's Daniella. That might work out nicely, too.

and perhaps Rosario Dawson for Vanessa. Seriously though, if the range fits, which idt it does, she' could be great.
