They are a lovely cast aren't they?? I took my mom to stage door--it was my mom's first stage door experience--and I know she loved it! Jefferson Mays was super friendly and he kept coming back up the line. I'd see him go down the line, then boop, he'd be right back at the front. Then when Bryce Pinkerton finally came out, he stuck around for a long, long time! Eventually all the barricades went down and he was still hanging about, chatting with a family. Then my mom wanted a solo photo with him against the D'Ysquith backdrop, didn't like his pose in the first pic and asked him to re-pose, and he was like, "Of course! Anything you want!" I was like jeez, this is a lot of attention! I was getting embarrassed, but he didn't mind. :)
That being said, I didn't love the show, which for some reason made me feel really guilty. Everyone who's asked me about it has been like, "Have you seen it? Didn't you just LOVE it? Wasn't it GREAT?" I wanted to feel that I was having a personal off-day. I mean, I didn't laugh once. Maybe if I got to see it again... Still the cast was lovely as heck though, and for that I will always be very fond of it!
