This artwork continues to be such a bizarre choice and looks no better on the theater. It's so weird they chose this to represent the show. I mean, if you want to sell it based on McAdams, then sure...but this cannot be the best image or execution of the concept, can it?
I thought I had seen this but wasn’t sure until I went back to reviews. Damn this was a great play! I couldn’t remember who the mother was then re-remembered it was Coon. Such a masterclass of exhaustion and perseverance. McAdams has big shoes to fill…think I’m going to wait for reviews on this production.
Quick aside, but speaking of Herzog (despite being so well produced and/or used for translations…I still think she’s underrated), I would love a revival, off or on Broadway, of Belleville.
