Im planning on seeing this on Thursday.
There are $44 tickets on Center balcony and $59 on orch partial view.
Any recomendations? Should I stick to rush?"
I was center balcony and the view was overall clear even if a bit far (only downsides are you miss a bunch of the stuff over the orchestra pit and can see a bit more of the technical aspects of the effects v
Saw this over the weekend and of the 4 Mary’s I’ve seen (Escola, Gilpin, Burgess and JCM), JCM might actually be my favorite Mary or at least the funniest besides Escola.
It’s absolutely deranged and manic and it’s hysterical. He feels much more hostile too at times which creates some good bits and chemistry.
Liu was very funny as Booth in the first half and then had me almost in tears laughing at the bar switch scene. Maybe the biggest 1
I’d nominate all 5 and give Edmond and Ehrenreich the Tony’s. Maybe even Edmond over Metcalf.
They’re hilarious and also nail the tone.
I had seen the buzz going in so had decent expectations but this surpassed them by far. Hysterical play with both very un-likable in some ways but also very watchable characters. A few leaps in plot but the payoffs were worth it.
the name of the one armed soda jerk that Elliott (Richard Thomas) was referring to from his childhood? He said he would order egg creams instead of milk shakes because the one armed, was it
I pray that this production is presentedas a satellite broadcast, or filmed as some NT presentations are. Theworld should have a chance to see it. The world should always have a chance to see it.

Absolutely. I think it is a masterpiece on all fronts. Also, the score is used so precisely to accentuate some moments creating an effect that I have rarely experienced in a theatre. I need a recording from Car
This afternoon, there were still plenty of callouts (the more common ones were louder, the others got stifled sometimes) but they weren’t overwhelming the show.
Dratch played off one at the top of act 2 and Evans seemed thrown for a loop by one a little while later but admittedly it came out of the blue. It seems he’s worked in the iconic callback in Sweet Transvestite or at least he’s playing off of it.
Hecht is an easy standout but I’d see how the season develops before calling a win. I could see it but I also thought she should’ve won last season for Eureka Day.

If I remember correctly, it ran 2:20 from curtain up with intermission at the start of previews. Don’t know if they’ve cut anything since it’s a West End transfer.
It’s definitely less than Salesman for a recent example.
Caught this last night as well. Hard to see Lithgow not winning as much I as liked Lane and Strong earlier this season.
If Levy misses a nom (I’d probably even give him the win as of right now), that’d be a massive miss by the committee. I think his monologue in Act 2 could be enough of a moment to get him in.
