I have been watching some youtube clips of her and am blown away in every one. She has quite an amazing resume from Dolly to Cruella. I have heard people on this board sing her praises and I can see why. When is she gonna come back to broadway??? The fact that she is not a name hurts her but I could see her carrying numerous shows. Anyone else agree??

I wouldn't call her "under rated" at all. She's quite highly regarded.
I saw her in the Camelot national tour as few years back. I thought she was wonderful. Her and Lou Diamond Phillips were the only standouts in an otherwise dull and lifeless production. I would not call her under rated by any means. As Yankeefan007 said, she is highly regarded as a Broadway actress.

I think he might mean she's just not 'known to the masses', as it were.
I've only seen her live in DESSA ROSE, and thought she was wonderful.
it's a shame "Turn of the Century" didn't make it to Broadway from it s Chicago run. Her reviews were luminous.
She was absolutely fantastic as the Witch in Into the Woods.
I think she's doing Spamalot at one of the large Regional playhouses in Maine (the one that's doing SUNSET BLVD, I'm lacking the name of it!) as Lady of the Lake. Would have loved to seen her.
A marvelous singer, actress & performer. I wouldn't say she's under-rated, more like overlooked. At least she gets more credit & acknowledgement than some other overlooked actresses such as Melissa Errico, perhaps because she has a few TV-movies and other things under her belt as well.
Ogunquit.
I think the thing is that she disappears into the role. At least I thought she did as Cruella and as the witch in Into the Woods recently.
Funny thing: while watching her a few weeks back in Into the Woods, I kept thinking: Oooh....I can see her Cruella DeVille at the same time.
