Well we have just finished our last play 'M' which opened to rave reviews *jumps around excited* and now we are pleased to announce that our next play will be Rage!
Rage is a play written by myslef and Adele Stanhope and has been in development since 2005.
The story is something very different for us and looks at a group of survivors of a college campus shooting.
The play tells the story of a group of college students who two hours before were targeted by a fellow student on campus as he went on a rampage through the halls of the college shooting his fellow classmates. Now on lockdown on the campus and with several students forced in to the same room, the students begin to try and process what just happened and ask who is to blame.
With tempers flaring and emotions running high, the finger of blame points to everything from America's gun culture, mental health, the media, violence in entertainment, but most importantly at bullying and high school and college cliques - and it's not long before the students realize that their own actions can have terrible consequences.
Rage recieved 2 workshop productions in 2006 and 2007 and we are over the moon that this play is now coming to the stage.
I have very personal reasons for tackling this subject so to me this is the most important play we will ever do.
The play opens 3rd November and runs through to the 7th November at Taurus Bar, Canal Street before moving on to 4 other venues/festivals next year.
