All,

I am planning on seeing Ragtime soon...but I'm wondering where to sit. I have never seen the show before and am very excited about seeing it. For this production, is it best to sit up close, or is farther back/mezzanine seating best?

Thanks for your thoughts,
-Eddie

I've only seen it from the orchestra which has been great but I would think front center mezzanine would be the ideal seat.

Having sat everywhere from the front mezz, mid mezz, last row of the mezz, front row orch, the very back of the orch, I'd say that the front of the orchestra is the best place to sit for the show. Sometimes in the mezz the third level gets cut off (but not too much happens up there outside of Coalhouse Demands and a few other moments).

I have front mezz, rear mezz, and front orch. I would say go for front mezz or back of the orch. When you are in the rear mezz, some of the 3rd level is cut off, but it is a big production that is nice to see "whole." While in the front orch. you are looking up to the 2nd and 3rd level, but it is nice to see facial expressions.

I sat in the front mezz last night and really enjoyed it. You don't miss much. I still prefer front orchestra though.

Front mezz (and the sides are great too) or mid orchestra. I would think front orchestra to be too close.

Please enjoy. It's beautiful. I am heartbroken over its low numbers.

I sat in the center front mezz during previews and the view couldn't have been better.
