Front row? I assume so since thats how it was for Hairspray
tking001, you do realize that where the lotto seats were for Hairspray have no impact on where they are for Ragtime. Yes, Ragtime's lotto seats are in the front row, however, that was not because Hairspray did it that way at the same theatre. In fact, the only thing that those two shows have in common is that they used the same theatre. That is it.

^ Possibly the most pretentious-sounding post of the day.

Well, just because Hairspray had lotto seats in the front row doesn't mean Ragtime will. They could, but there doesn't seem to be any specification yet.

Okay, just to break this down for myself: If the show starts at 8pm, I need to get there at 6pm for a drawing at 6:30pm? Correct?
They will draw 90 minutes prior to the show, which means they will draw 6:30 pm (for an 8 p.m. show). Which means get there around 6 p.m.
When I asked at the box office, I was told that the lottery tickets were in the front row.

Well, technically, you can put your name in at 6:29 and be fine. No need to arrive very early.
Anybody know how many lotto rush tickets there will be? I wonder if it will be crazy this first weekend or not? No one go Sunday. I need to win! ha! (half kiddin')
I would assume 26 seats, since there are 26 seats in the front row.

I know this has probably been asked before, but do they do lotto for previews, or does that only start once the show officially opens?

Well, yeah, that is why I said around 6 p.m. I didn't say exactly 6 p.m. It is implied that you can enter anytime thereafter if they won't draw until 6:30 p.m.

Exactly! It's not like either show is about race relations in America...oh wait!
