I don't know why people are including Rocky Horror or Dirty Dancing, both were not live, but I would put them above Peter Pan in my list.
I am not counting Rocky Horror or Dirty Dancing because they were not actually live, but:
1. Jesus Christ Superstar
2. Grease
3. Hairspray
4. The Wiz
5. The Sound of Music
6. Peter Pan
7. A Christmas Story
1. Jesus Christ Superstar-as a whole, this was the best executed for me. Unfortunately, it isn't 1 of my favorites of Andrew Lloyd Webber. If I was going by story, Grease would have been #1.
2. Grease
3. The Wiz
4. Hairspray
5. The Sound of Music- Loved the Broadway stars & Carrie Underwood sang the music fine.
6. A Christmas Story- This only ranks higher than Peter Pan because Jane Krakowski was good. Was overall just a bad show to me.
7. Peter Pan-why was their 2nd attempt this show when the Mary Martin version is so easily accessible? Also was more boring than I remember as a child.
8. The Passion-I don't know why they tried to make this seem like a live musical event. I like to call this 1 crosspalooza though because they seemed so concerned about carrying that huge cross through New Orleans.
