I'm almost embarrassed to say this, but I havent seen the CCBB movie... I know, somewhat of a deprived childhood. Just how big of a role is this?

Big or Small, it means more Raul to play on my CD Player! Yay! Congrats Raul!

Well, those of us who want to see manly Raul? Plus, I'm excited, because it's my all time favorite childhood movies, and I've been waiting several years for this to happen.

QM - I'm sure the make-up people will make Raul look fabulous! So, you enjoyed it in London. I haven't seen it *cough*live. Looking forward to it immensely.

Excellent. I saw the posters on my lat trip to NYC, and I kinda wanted to see it (because of the coolness of the poster lol. I looked interesting to me.) Now I have to see it!

Bdwaygirl, I'm sure he'll do a wonderful job. And it's a great feel good show... I literally bounced out of the Palladium in London when the show was finished.

The OLC in London was amazing but the OBC starts to sound very promising too with Marc and Paul confirmed.

Both Dick Van Dyke and Michael Ball were in their early 40s when they did the film and London production respectively. I believe Esparza is 34. Younger than DVD and MB, but certainly old enough to be believable as the father of two small children.

I wouldn't worry about him not being a 'fatherly figure', Raúl can act just about anything.

I'm a total moron and have no idea what Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is about (except that the title sounds really dirty), but yay for him.

ROFL Chrysanthemum..well said, but hopefully we'll see Michael Ball over here in something yet (his one man show "Alone Together" would be my choice). Congrats to Raul...it's a great show, I saw it in London and think it will do really well here.

Oh! I'm so jealous you saw the London production!
The summer before last my best friend saw it, and called me from *overseas* to say "Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah! I just saw Michael Ball on West End and just met him!" ::click:: I was mucho jealous, a sat there with my mouth open for several minutes.
