She's sexy even when she's NOT green. But I can't really imagine her looking anything less than beautiful. I can not wait to see the photos; I would give my arm to see her play Elphaba.

I love her voice but I don't see the sex appeal. To quote Fargo, she's funny lookin'.
Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

Popcultureboy, I have to go on step farther and agree that, not only is she not that beautiful, she's also talent-free. Watch her live, it's like an exercise in how not to sing. Back of the throat, teensy little sound. She benefits from massive amplification. I can't imagine she's going to be able to sustain 8 shows a week.

Well I personally think she's gorgeous and has an amazing voice.

the plan is to see her in Philly...i am still trying to make that happen.

theatertrash: is julia usually good when it comes to showing up for work? how many times did she miss Lennon? i was thinking of seeing a matinee, but i will be crushed if julia isn't performing (especially since i will have traveled so far).

thanks ali...those are good odds. also, philly is one of her first stops on the tour so hopefully Elphaba's difficult songs eight times a week will not have taken a toll on Julia's voice by then.

WithoutATrace, Julia went on in LENNON with a very badly injured foot and without any complaints. And out of the 10 or 11 - I don't know, I lost count - times I saw LENNON, she was out only once. The woman is a big trooper and lives to perform on stage. Trust me when I say she wouldn't miss it.

thanks. i'm glad she has a good track record (and even performed with a broken foot??? wow!). definitely looking forward to seeing her in this role. and i will definitely post a detailed review if i do get to see her.

I think, for me, Julia's sex appeal (I'd so hop the fence) is from her voice. I love listening to her sing. I do think she's beautiful, too. And she's ridiculously nice.

I have nothing against her, but the first time I ever encountered her was on the Sex and the City episode. I swear I thought it was going to turn out that she was a dude. And my friend thought so, too!

Plus, her eyes look weird in photographs.
