^^ Ooooooo! That's a good one.
Rebecca recently sang at a benefit concert at Her Majesty's Theatre (where Phantom has run in London since it opened) for a much loved theatre memorabilia shop that was under threat of being closed. She sang A Heart Full of Love with Frances Ruffelle (original Eponine) and Jon Robyns (Original London Ave Q cast).
She later took to the stage again to sing "Think of Me" from POTO. She was terrified as she was fired in '87 by Cameron Macintosh for playing Christine (as alternate) with too much depth - not the glazed over, drugged out interpretation so many actresses give Christine. She was once told in rehearsals "Darling, you are looking too intelligent." She finished the song at the benefit to a WILD ovation and later said she could finally put some demons to rest.

^^ Wow, really??!
I've heard so many people talk about how Christine is a boring, bland, lifeless and brainless character, but I've always felt that in the hands of a great actress who cared, she could be a fascinating one. Such a shame that the producers WANT the character to be that idiotic, silly girl.
