Now that's a reason to go see this show!
I'll go back to see Ms. Luker. She is one of my favorites. (I thought Clark had been out a bit lately and wondered what was up.)
Dreaming, I'd join you! :)
Great choice! I love Rebecca.
Eris-PM me and we'll make it official!! I'd love to! I've been a fan of Rebecca Luker's since "The Secret Garden"!
Love Luker. She'll sing the songs beautifully.
Anyone know what Clark's project is?
I saw her in Show Boat, and she was magnificent. Her voice shimmered, and her acting was first-rate.
I would have voted for her that year against Glenn Close in Sunset Blvd. for the Tony.
For me, she gave the better performance.
This is a great choice! She is a wonderful actress with a gorgeous voice!
I love Luker.

I'm on plan period right now at work and this is great news to read. I think Luker is terrific replacement for Clark, who gave a flawless performance when I saw the show in May.

Definitely time to revisit this show.
If they ever get around to a third replacement, I'd love to see Patti Cohenour get the part.
Thats some great casting there!
I am SO excited about this! I can't wait to hear Luker use her soprano in a show again, it's been a while (except for her song in Where's Charley? at Encores, which was lovely).

I've had no interest in seeing Cinderella...until now! Love Rebecca Luker! (Since Secret Garden) I saw her in Show Boat and thought she was wonderful. I might have to buy tickets...
Luker's soprano is beyond gorgeous. This will be a cake walk for her.

While Luke's soprano voice was rarely used in Mary Poppins, she truly was one of the highlights in the show. This is what I call inspired casting.

I really think of Luker as more of a leading lady than a character actor but will be interested to see what she does with it. She has tremendous talent but, in my experience, not necessarily comedic.

beautywickedlover, I totally read that as "I'm on my period right now at work" and I was like wellll thanks for that extra bit of information but what does that have to do with Rebecca Luker and Cinderella?
