This thread reminded me to get tickets to see Idina Menzel's new musical, and I geenerally made it to the Muny every other year.

Are there other high profile regional productions coming up that are on your list that should be on my list?

I'm in Minnesota, and there's always a good selection of regional shows here.  A few I'm hoping to be able to see are:

At the Guthrie: Art (running until Jan. 27), Dial M for Murder (Jan 20-Feb 25) A Brittle Glory (Shakespeare's Richard II, Henry IV, and Henry V March 23-May 25) Little Shop of Horrors (June 22-Aug 18) English (July 13-Aug 18)

At the History Theatre: Blended 和 (Harmony): The Kim Loo Sisters (May 4-26)

Lyric Arts Main Street Stage: 9 to 5 (April 12-May 12), Kinky Boots (July 12-Aug 11)

Mixed Blood Theatre: The Most Spectacularly Lamentable Trial of Miz Martha Washington (March 8-March 31)

Ten Thousand Things: The Spitfire Grill (April 25-June 9)

Theatre Latte Da: The Color Purple (March 20-May 5)

Theatre in the Round Players: The Seagull (Jan 12-Feb 4), Silent Sky (Feb 23-March 17)

Theatre Pro Rata: The Language Archive (April 5-April 20)

I'm looking forward to Gun & Powder at the Paper Mill this spring.  I feel like it's been overshadowed by Gatsby a bit, and it's exciting that we have a second new musical happening this season.  I hadn't realized until I was researching it recently that it premiered at the Signature (in VA) right before the pandemic with Solea Pfeiffer and Emmy Raver-Lampman in the lead roles.  I don't know whether either of them are still attached to the show, but I've been enjoying this clip that the show posted to its YouTube channel of them performing one of the songs.  The premise sounds promising—it's about two sisters who pass as white and rob banks to settle their mom's sharecropper debt, and it's based on the bookwriter/lyricist's family history.  Hopefully it pans out...
