And if he isn't, then you look utterly insensitive to having questioned him in the first place when it wasn't your place. I don't want to take sides, but some of the most accepting people in theatre, and I apologize if it sounds like generalization but this is just my experience, are heterosexual. If I had to name the most kind and acceptingly tolerant person in the theatre department at my college, it would belong to one of the few heterosexual men. The gays are another story.
I don't want to argue, but I'm just stating that from my past knowledge, the ones who are most dire in their want to be tolerated are some of the most intolerable individuals when it comes to the discussion of identifying the sexuality of others.

But, unless you have proof otherwise, he isn't. I'm all for criticizing his show for being poorly written or overly arrogant, but it's silly to criticize him for hiding the fact that he's gay WHEN HE'S NOT GAY. Jeez.

I'm a straight guy in musical theater, and people think I'm gay all the time, even though I have a girlfriend. you can never win, and I for one think that people need to respect that!

whether it's true or not, Jake IS living a hetero lifestyle. He dated Dani Spieler (vacation swing for Legally Blonde) and he says he's straight.
Why does it matter?
Honestly, get over yourself and get a life. Let Jake live his life the way he wants to.
