My worst and ONLY audition was when I was back in Grade 9 trying out for You're A Good Man Charlie Brown. Now I have an okay voice when I get nervous, it all goes to hell. So it's my turn to go into the room and as I get in there they ask me to do weird activties thats like uuhh okay than as I start to sing, I choose Happiness but I got a little nervous, and forgot a few words, the drama teacher got iffy about that and told me to just sing Happy Birthday so, I did. That was the end of my High School acting career.

Well, I have been in many shows, and Iam in the 11th grade. I have always done community theatre show in the area, and have had several leads. The reason I have not done my high school productions is because I have always been busy wih something else. So this year, auditions for the school play were coming up,(rumors) and I had just ended "oz" as scarecrow, so I decided to try out, and I ended up getting a lead (ken gorman). So the musical roles around and Its announed we are doing Beauty and the Beast, I wanted Gaston more than anything!!!! Well, the director for the play and the musical are 2 diffrent pepole. So I guess the director for the musical, did not think I was as good as I thought I was. I had worked with the choir director(who also does the music)(Iam not in choir)and sang the Gaston music, several times for her and she said it was perfect. I got maurice, and Gaston is an overweight kid, with glasses. It was such a let down for me.

My most recent: I auditioned for the school play. There was one female singing role. I was the only female singer who auditioned. I was the only female they didn't ask to sing (and the kid directing it doesn't know that I can sing) therefore, I was stuck in the lovely role Man 1.

I tried out for a show and the director later told me "You deserved the lead... but the other girl was older and doesn't have as long to do shows."

Also, when my school did Fiddler I was auditioned for Golde over and over and the role was given to a senior who couldn't really sing.

Another one is when I did HONK and was REALLY sick during auditions and I got in the ensemble after having two leading roles with this company. The producer of the show who was mad at me for acting "Divaish" during this show she convinced me to do that summer (they needed singers so she asked me, I said yes under the condition I didn't have to dance... well I ended up in every dance number and the show ran 2 months longer than it was supposed to) and would constantly make speeches about not always getting leads while looking directly at me and all that. I am not a diva at all! But I must say, I did learn a lot from that production (I learned a lot about stage presence and stuff... very valuable if you ask me).

Am I cut out to spend my time this way?
