When they announced the nominees, why didn't the camera pan on the faces? I saw bits and pieces. When Goulet was announcing the winners. He was laughing like he laughed in La Cage.

I am just glad we had tv. You have no idea how hard it is to get tv interested in theater.

Is there a reason that you suspect that the musical numbers may have been cut? It seems unlikely to me.

oh thank goodness Altar Boyz was not cut out. but i hated the sound system in the house. that's not representative of the punch in the real show. what the heck was with the mics? and the weird camera angles way up high...

oh well, at least everyone can see the Boyz in a better light than the webcast which was just messed up with sound all over the place. i loved how the audience was clapping along towards the last bit of the song and you can sort of hear the sound guys trying to suppress their laughter.

I watched in between Lifetime movie commercials. lol I was really just watching for cast performances. I enjoyed what I saw though. I particularly enjoyed Maureen McGovern and Altar Boyz. :)

I heard she was great but I have not seen the show.
Could not get a damn ticket.
I hope I will see it before 2006.

Seriously. If you really want to see Spamalot, consider going by yourself and look for a single ticket, even just a couple of days ahead. You might get lucky. I was playing around on Telecharge and found a front row center orchestra ticket, so it *can* happen.

I can't seem to find out how to know when they are going to play the Drama Desk Awards if at all on either of the websites pbs.org or dramadesk.com

PBS is done.
If you are in NYC it should play again on chanel 25 again this week. Someone at the station made an error and took out the musical numbers.
I will have the details tomorrow.
I think it will be rebroadcast on Wed.
