Just curious to see if anyone is going to try their luck on Monday. I won't be able to get there until 4 and I am debating on stopping by to try my luck for possible leftovers with tickets that have gone unsold. Any thoughts?
I wish I could make it, but its all the way out of my area and I have to get up early the next morning. BOOO!!!

I think I'm going right after school, which is neat, being that I don't have any homework :) But I'm pretty sure I'm trying, and I really hope I'm lucky, although I highly doubt it. But for me, being in the company of all those Rentheads is pretty darn cool.
I'll be there.
I have to leave here early in the morning though, and I'm an idiot and scheduled a phone interview for 10...I don't know how that's going to work out.
I'm not sure I can get there by 3. I'm going to try everything in my power to do so. I'm hoping it's a bit of a madhouse so things get somewhat delayed. If not, I'm tempted to do the $500 show only tix. But that will have to be a spontaneous spur of the moment decision on my part.

Where are these $500 show only tickets you speak of??
Meagan--you can only purchase them at the Nederlander box office. As of...like 5:30 PM on Thurs, they estimated that there were 140 of those tickets available at that time.

I think I saw the $500 tickets listed on Ticketmaster... but I'm not exactly sure if they're entirely correct...
I just checked the NYTW site and it seems the lotto situation has changed. The lotto is at the Nederlander now? Starts at 2?
Where does it say that?

I seriously hope that it does not start at two... but so long as they don't draw before 3:30 I have a shot at the lottery. Class ends at two...and hour to get to times sq...beautiful.

yeah the lotto kept changing for a while... I would definitly keep checking back.
As for the $500 tickets... Ticketmaster does have some. I found seats only in the rear mezz... does anyone think its really worth it to pay $500 for rear mezz seats?? I mean it is the OBC but still thats a LOT of money... I have only ever sat in the orchestra, can you see everything in the rear mezz (row E)?

The lotto for the Benefit Concert will take place at the Neder. Cards will start to be handed out at 2 and the draw will take place at 3. If you're not there by 3, you won't get to enter. Here's the official notice:
The first 2 rows will be available on the day of the benefit for $20 by lottery! The lottery will be held on Monday, April 24 at the Nederlander Theatre, 208 West 41st Street. Registration cards will be handed out beginning at 2pm for a drawing to take place at 3pm for that evening's benefit. No line-ups for registration forms will be allowed prior to 1pm. Tickets must be paid for in cash. Limit 2 tickets per person.
Please take pictures of the line guys. I really want to see this madness!
I think I am going to cry... that means we need to change fast after gym... and run out like a bunch of screaming banshees. And hopefully it will magically take less than 60 minutes from school to times sq...and in front of the netherlander... ack.
Haha... I'll take pictures if I'm there... even if I don't win, I'm pretty sure it will be an interesting experience on line.

I'm going to try.
I mean, why not? I'm not going to win, but someone has to do. Might as well take a chance at it.
I'd thought about tickets for a couple of minutes even when the price came out, and then I rememebered that my rent is $1000. While I'd love to see the OBC, not getting evicted is probably the prudent move.
And yes, the $500 rear mezz tickets are on Ticketmaster. I checked last night.
I think the better question is- Who ISN'T going to try? Every human I've come in contact with for the past week is apparently going to try the lottery!

i'll be there to tape some of the craziness!
Do we expect numbers as large as the Virgin Megastore signing?
I'm having a little fit right now...because it looks like I'm just going to get there right in time to miss the lottery.
Unless public transportation becomes god like...so that means we need to cut last period. GYM!

I'm more than a little apprehensive about this. I'm dreading a couple of hours in front of the Nederlander with 10,000 screaming teens (it will certainly seem that way).
Note: No offense to any teens, but you know the fangirls of which I'm referencing.
Question: The event's black-tie. Are lottery folks planning on changing?
I'm just curious whether the first 2 rows are going to be in jeans or look more like the rest of the crowd.
To be honest, if I win. I'll be rushing home to change... considering I live less than half and hour away.
I think I'll be having one of those "WHERE DID ALL THESE PEOPLE COME FROM?" attacks...
I'll be there.
I was thinking about that, too. Should I bring a dress or something to change into, just in case?
I've seen the scanned invites...they do say come as you are.
