Is anyone going? I'm not sure if I can.

I believe it's by invite only - despite what the article says on Playbill "...nine cameras will capture the 8 PM performance of the Tony Award-winning Jonathan Larson musical.", ticketmaster isn't selling tickets to the performance.
I know, I have an invite, it's at 6. Just not sure if i should go, or if anyone else is. And it's not that hard to get an invite.
Rent is dark Wednesday, so entirely possible no one will be there. I guess they'll never pan over the audience or include applause?
OF COURSE they will show the audience and there will be audible applause. They want to capture how much this show is loved. There will be an audience tomorrow and you can sure as hell bet the audience will be noticed when they film closing night.
How would one go about getting an invite?
The event is full, but people on the RENT mailing list could sign up from an email sent out. There was a limit of 100 pairs. I wonder If they booked over the number needed, or if you are guaranteed a seat.
Events like this always overbook. It's better for them to have people who can't get in than to have a few empty seats.
Does anyone have a guess at what time I should get there?
You have an invite and you can't decide whether you want to go? Well, if you don't want to go give it to me. I'll gladly go.
Haha, I would give it to you, but it has name, address, and you need a photo ID along with the invite.
Radical plastic surgery and identity theft is worth it for RENT tickets.
wicked_beast there are ways around that.... lol
Pft, they could try and deny me for having a different name but I'd just be too cute NOT to let in.

I'll be there. What time should I get there to get a good seat?
I wonder how they will film it. Do you think it will be crazy Legally Blonde/MTV style? Or more like Sweeney or Into the Woods.

I have heard from a few people involved that they took down some seats in the theatre and they are filming the show for about 12 hours. Obviously the audience won't be there for all of that time. I assume from what I heard they will be stopping and starting

Will they do doing lotto for the front 2 rows like Rent always does?

No it's a closed show. I asked some cast members and they said majority of the people are affiliated with the producers. Also they said they are checking people in so no one can weasel their way in.

Thank you correction changed. Although I would love to see them "make people" into the Nederlander
Akitarent, do you have any idea what time to get there if we want to get a seat?
