Namo i love u but we get it already....you don't like Madonna
This is one I got sent awhile back. it didnt blow me away like some stage to DVD/film productions have. Its certainly one of the better 'transfers' but it still comes over like an MTV video more than a theatrical performance. 8 out 10 tho and let this be a lesson to all producers- this is what do to in the future! Get it on film!!!
Its not as MTV as the Legally Blonde filming but it does still have a bit of an MTV vibe, though to be honest Rent appealed to the MTV generation so it kinda works

I really enjoyed it as well! The performances of the cast was amazing! Very well shot and have to say it was wayy more enjoyable than the film version, the remixed stage version or the world tour version i saw!

Tell me about it! I tried downloading some free software today, but you had to pay for the mac version! But a heads up would be nice of where to download from, maybe PM me?
Well, only half has downloaded for me so far, so that is all i've seen, but I have to say this is WAY better than the film and is very good quality! RECOMMENDED!
There is no RENT film. There's a wonderful 90 minute documentary on Jonathan Larson that comes with a bonus DVD of something that claims to be RENT (but isn't.) For all intents and purposes the RENT film is the "Live on Broadway" edition.
And I'm trying to be good here and NOT download the leak, preferring to wait for the R1 DVD to street.
I thought Rosario Dawson was one of the worst things about the film! It looked like she was under orders to do no research whatsoever into her character to come at it 'fresh' and do something 'new' with it, which she then failed to do. Her singing was mediocre, and she delivered her lines - what little of the script was not excised - with a dull 'I have no idea what's going on this is just what it says' air.
Tracie Thoms, however, was a gem. You can tell that she actually knew and understood the material.
