He was so passionate about young people in theatre, that was one of his causes for doing rent. He wouldn't have done it 1000 times, but if he saw a good musical that would bring all types of people to an audience, he would've done it "


I really disagree. I can't see him doing that at all. He was a very inventive writer with great creativity. I doubt he would have needed to borrow material if he were still alive.
But what does it matter, arguing with a sock puppet?

He's not a sock puppet. His threads actually make a modicum of sense and he doesn't spam the boards with the same ones. Just because you dislike Rent/Wicked doesn't mean he's a sock puppet.

This just in: this thread has one both the "Thread that Ended Up Having Nothing To Do With Its Title" and the "Most Likely to Be Closed By the Mods" awards at the Tonys! Congrats to all! I thought Boyd Gaines had one of them in the bag, but that's just me.

My point was to praise Larson's creativity, and Trekkie rightfully called out my mometary brain lapse! Anyway, what I really wanted to say was that the OP was being silly in believing that Larson in any way would not be able to rely on original material for future shows.
