Rosie is really bringing in the performances, isn't she? A very touching segment...the young girl affected with CF is a musical theatre fan. Her favorite musical is Rent, so her and Rosie sing the opening together...then the cast walks out behind them.
Very touching.

So cute, I flipped over right as they started singing.
Yes, I thought they almost were not on. It was touching and sweet. If only Barbra could have done the solo in the end.

I understand that it is relatively early, but come on Frenchie ...

She was probably saving up for actual performances.
Were there some lyric mess-ups with male solo?
Oooh. Yes. I agree with sundaymorning! I missed it...I'm at a friend's house right now. What else did they sing?
Just Seasons of Love.
I actually teard up and cried a bit when the girl gave the little scream when she realized the cast was behind her.
Has Frenchie changed that solo up a bit or does anyone thing she was holding back a bit because it was, as mentioned above, early. Didn't really care too much what she did with it. But I can't hit those notes so all in all, it was a very nice and very touching performance!! I loved the girls mother. She was really touched.
I'm not a crier but this did get to me. That little girl looked like she was totally over the moon (no punn intended). Her family looked touched and so did the cast. I think they sounded great . . . maybe Frenchie held back a little, but if you hadn't heard her live I think you would have been blown away (the young girl seemed to be!) by what notes she did hit. Marcus also sounded great. I thought it was a very nice thing they did for her. And if you read Jaime's myspace blog you will see how touched she was by the whole thing as well.
Okay, now i wish I could have seen it...
I teared up watching that. She was so happy! Such a touching moment.
And um, the cast is singing for a little girl who's a big fan, they came to sing as a touching surprise, not to show off a soloist. :-p.
I loved the look on the girl's face when they came out behind her. ok enough I'm getting teary again, *sigh*

The pure and honest joy coming from the girl and her parents, and the cast, brought tears to my eyes...most beautiful thing I've seen on TV morning shows in a LONG time.

I thought it was wonderful.
And I really didn't think Frenchie sounded bad. She didn't go all out, but it was probably for the better... she was, afterall, standing right next to the little girl's ear.

Yeah, I totally taped this, but I forgot it comes on an hour early now, so I only saw the very end of it when they were saying goodbye. Someone please post this online if you taped it. I gotta see it!
That was adorable!!!
and the girls name was Stephanie....lOl
I teared up...
At first when I found out Rent was going to be on the show, I thought, "What the hell? Why?" but when I saw segment, I, like many of you, cried like a baby. Very touching. This is just one of the reasons I respect Rosie so much.
OK, I'm a little behind...I didn't get around to watching this until just now. It was a lot nicer than I expected (and informative too--I know a couple of people with CF and wasn't aware of some of the things they have to do every day).
