Rent- Is this the "bible"?

I heard people talking about a Rent Bible and was wondering if this was it. I want to get the rent bible for someone for christmas and don't know if its the right one.

That depends on whether or not you prefer fiction over fact. If you like facts, then no.

People got confused using the term "Rent book" because then people thought they meant just the libretto, but this is more than that.

I don't call it the bible but I don't object to people using it.

It is called the "bible" because it is the most detailed writtenn account on Rent's genesis

uhhh- ok

I don't know that I would refer to anything as a 'bible' besides the real thing. I am not religious so I am not offended by it but I can see if some people may be offended by it.

Gahh, I have to wait till Christmas too and I don't even have Anthony Rapp's book to tide me over 'cause it doesn't come out till Feb. *sigh* I might just have to beg my mother to give it to me now.

I enjoy the fact that I was in my friend's room one night and when I said "Hey, hand me the bible," she reached right past her giant New King James and handed me the Rent book. :) Just thought I'd share.

I have the Bible but I have to wait till Christmas to get the movie soundtrack, and till my birthday in February to get Anthony's book (I hope he comes to LA!)...

Well, to call it "the bible" is a bit silly, but I thought it's generally called "the Rent bible." I have no problem with that.

Well, I'm an athiest, so the Rent bible is the closest thing to my bible. I didn't call it the Rent bible because we were listening to Rent at the time so I knew she knew what I was talking about, but still. The ACTUAL Bible was right in front of her and she reached right past. :)
