Sorry, I was called away before as soon as I started typing...
Here's the link
Ooh...who will Ledisi play in ISLAND? I liked her song in LEATHERHEADS, but I think this could be an odd career move for a Grammy-nominated artist....

This sounds like a great reprise season, why can't Encores be this good!

Thank god, that's what that show needs, a new book. Great music, but sucky book.
And 'Nita Whitaker rocks!
Patina Miller is incredible talented.
I surely hope she is playing Ti Moune in ONCE ON THIS ISLAND.
I wish I could see this but I doubt I'll be able to get over to the west coast
I swear to god, at first, I thought it said "Jason Alexander in I Am My Own Wife."
I'm sorry but I think the Encores! season is better, if not with all the material, at least with the kind of talent they attract. Reprise! has done some great shows but I wonder with so many great NY actors living in LA, and some great LA stage actors, why their choices are so lackluster sometimes. (And I don't mean this season in particular). These are the people who cast Judith Light as Joanne and Jane Krakowski as Mabel Normand, why not give us more of those inspired choices?

LOL. Close... I thought that too for a sec.

Would love to see Once on This Island! Im dying for it to come back to broadway eventually. But I plan on going in September! Great season
Wow I hope the new book for CHESS turns out well. Maybe a production with the new book (if good) will find its way to broadway! That wold be amazing!
Well Tim Rice does want to bring the show back to Broadway. The MACK & MABEL Reprise! concert was supposed to transfer (they revised the book for that production as well), so I wonder if this means they expect CHESS to have a life outside of Reprise!
This is a good season, LA MANCHA the only potential yawn. It's harder to find a new way into that material, beloved though the score may be.
CHESS has always had a score that takes the roof off (even the material cut from the Broadway production is still wonderful -- i.e., "The Arbiter's Song," sliced out in previews, "Merino," etc..) But its subject -- cold war metaphors -- is difficult to make immediate and entirely engaging.
Wasn't there a big all-star CHESS concert out in L.A. less than year ago?
