Requesting Autographs through the mail

I'm trying to get info on these people currently staring in a show. Can anyone help me out with yes/no that they respond to requests of signed pics (I provide the envelopes, postage etc) and addresses?

Christine Ebersole
Angela Lansbury
Christopher Plummer
Audra Mcdonald
Orfeh

Thanks in advance

re: Requesting Autographs through the mail

I think most are prone to sending signed Playbills instead of photos. I wrote to and got responses from Angela Lansbury, Christopher Plummer and Christine Ebersole but I had sent them photos and they sent them back signed.

Most of the people you listed are people who do that sort of thing. Don't expect a quick response, though. Sending a playbill is probably better than a photo, though, because they may not sign it and send it back. Go to the official websites for the actors where they list where to send mail.

re: Requesting Autographs through the mail

None of these should be hard to get. I used to collect and usually Broadway actors were the BEST signers. I used to look to see when TV stars/film actors where on stage, because it was always easier. Theres a lot less people/staff involved. Think if you sent a letter to David Hyde Pierce c/o Fraiser versuses c/o Curtains, you'd definately have a better chance of it getting to him.

Anyway, I've heard Plummer is bad at the stage door, but he's signed a few Sound of Music photos for me through the mail. Lansbury has signed some for me as well. The others I'd imagine are fairly easy as well.

This website used to be good for star addresses, not sure if it still is. Message me if you'd like more advice.

re: Requesting Autographs through the mail

All the actors you listed are currently working on Broadway. All you need to do is send whatever you have that you wanted autographed and simply send it to the theatre that actor is currently working at. You must include a pre-paid self-addressed return envelope/box/package in order for them to send back your stuff.

Address your package like this:

Barbra Streisand
Winter Garden Theatre - Stage Door
451 Broadway
New York, NY 10036

Star Archive is awesome and updated daily, but it's been renamed Star Tiger and is now a pay site. I've been a subscriber for several years.

How are the stars on broadway about sending either a signed playbill or photo if you request that they do (if i don't have anything for them to sign)...I've been successful with some actors requesting this and they have sent me back signed 8x10s...

I got signed pictures when requesting them from Kristy Cates, Jennifer Laura Thompson and Idina Menzel. I sent a letter and a large envelope with postage on it for the pictures. Idina just sent a small picture. Jennifer Laura Thompson I *think* sent a short note with the picture. And Kristy sent a really sweet note and personalized signed picture.
