...requiem aeternum.
I can't believe no one made this thread already...it's the big day: 9.5.05.
I just wanted to quote Evita, but I guess we should start with Aida love, no?
I miss Aida, but I do enjoy All Shook Up.
Continue.

Posted: 9/5/05 at 4:02amI miss Aida! I loved that show and saw it more times than I like to admit... haha...
re: Requiem Aida#2
Posted: 9/5/05 at 9:56amI loved every minute of it. A lot of people here bash it, but the sheer enjoyment in the audience when I was there was overwhelming. A beautiful show.

I was going to start this, then I thought I sholud get over myself and hold my tongue.
But, I'll keep it short, I guess. AIDA was the first show I fell in love with, and no matter the critical eye I've developed since falling so in love, it's still my favorite musical. Despite the problems, I loved every beautiful minute of it. And, after all, it is responsible for introducing me to the one and the absolute only Mr. Adam Pascal, which gives it some credit on its own.
I'm not really that sad, though; more like nostalgic in a "Oh my GOD, how fast a year goes by" sort of way. There are so, so many memories wrapped up in the times I spent seeing the show. I miss you, AIDA. (However, I do admit that All Shook Up is a fun little show - I'm glad the Palace is its home.)

I really do miss Aida
I remember going to see it literally knowing nothing about it and walked away from the show in tears
It was also at Aida that I first learned about the stagedoor and developed my very first crush

i loved catching aida on a whim....never really planning to see it i would occasionaly get out of class before 6pm and head downtown to see what i could catch and would usually end up getting a 10$ standing rm. ticket. Luckily a friend of mine was an usher and could get me into the box seats.
it was the only show i've ever cried at...i did cry at caroline, or change but only because i had stubbed my toe...jk

Posted: 9/5/05 at 3:28pmI'm with everyone else in agreeing that it amazes me that this show has already been closed for a year. I LOVE Aida and wish it was still going.

Posted: 9/5/05 at 5:51pmWow. They look really really different in that photo. How many colors has Adam's hair been?
re: Requiem Aida#19

Many. That's his natural color, I believe. It's one of my favorite AIDA production shots, but for some reason it's one of the less common ones to get around.
I randomly found it while I was websurfing a while ago.
