I was checking out restaurants near Fiddler on the Roof at the Broadway Theater for a late night post-theater coffee (for the driver) and snack for the rest of us. Broadway World has a listing of nearby restaurants but right off the bat I noticed two that have closed and are no longer in business - Art Cafe and Ruby Foo's. So could anyone please help with recommendations? Thanks!

" Believe there may be a Serafina's up there near the Ed Sullivan theater
Applejack at 55/Bway is close by. Basic diner food.

I also recommend Serafina- it's on 55th street so it's only 2 blocks away from the theater.
Take a look at Time Warner Center/Columbus Circle-area restaurants. Ate around there before Fiddler a while ago, and it was less than a 10-minute walk to the theater.
I like Basserie Cognac, 1740 Broadway. It's between 55th and 56th streets, and you'll have just a short walk getting there from the theater.
B Side!!! 51 st 1 block fr the Bway Theatre. Trust me..it s fantabulous. Small, so call for a reservation. Can t link for some reason, but u can look it up. Their new sister place is also the bomb, called B Squared. 47th /9th ave. The gnocchi, pizzas, drinks, and even veggies r superb. Cozy atmosphere. (I live in this area for 20 yrs)..Beware tourist traps. Just sayin..... I hope you love Fiddler as much as we did.
Thanks for the rec's, I appreciate it!
Columbus Circle is too time consuming a walk for us at 11 at night. We're parking near the theater, my husband (the driver) wants a good cup of coffee to perk him up for the drive home. B Side is a pizza joint and not what we're looking for this time, but good to keep in mind for another trip. Serafina's and Applejack Diner are both possibilities. Thanks!

My friend is the chef at B Squared, also highly recommend them. The oxtail lasagna is off the hook.
What s you friend s name, Bway... .? I loooove that place and i live 3 blocks away! I hope they don t go downhill like 95% of 9th av. Also wish soneone would open a real jewish deli, a jamaican place, a polish place and a real french place. Enough with the thai and taco joints!
Victor's Café (Cuban restaurant) right around the corner on 52nd St between Broadway and 8th Ave - have gone there after theater for coffee/dessert.
Thanks for all the suggestions. It was raining hard after the theater so we just scarfed a couple diet cokes for the caffeine and hit the road!
