I had to leave the city for a few weeks, and my friend is holding onto some South Pacific tickets that we may need to return. I tried calling the BO, but they won't give information over the phone, telling me I have to come in on a "case by case basis." My friend doesn't want to go for me because he thinks since he's not me, they won't allow him to return them.
How does it work? I give them the tickets, and if they sell them, I get a credit back on my credit card? Does the person who bought them have to return them, and they won't let my friend do it on my behalf?
If someone wants them for face (all or nothing), they're 4 seats in Row O for Dec 26th 8pm, by the way.
Thanks for the advice.
Force your friend to go, otherwise tell him to go stand at the BO and sell them the day of the performance.

When are the tickets for? Seats? How much? I might be interested in them.
Your best bet is to have someone, anyone, stand in front of the Beaumont and try to sell them. I'm sure you can sell them for face value. If you return them to the box office the best you can hope for would probably be a tax donation receipt from Lincoln Center Theater.
PM sent, Lynne, although all the info is in my post.
You sure, frogs_fan? When I called, they wouldn't give specifics, but certainly sounded like returning was an option. Doesn't seem likely that all those people cancel their tickets to let the LCT resell without getting any money back.
