who keeps reviving the notion of reviving?
the author or the author's momma?
I've seen a couple of the incarnations and sadly the marketing art is consistently much better than the show.

not so good. She finally deserves to be laid to rest, I think.

I'm excited to see this show in LA in Oct. Question for those that have seen the show, or are familiar with it.... I wanted to bring my 15 year old niece. How appropriate is it? Lots of language? Sex? I'm no so worried about the horror.

No, It's not just you. This is one of the worst shows in musical theater history. Why the creators and a myriad of producers feel the need to continue to resuscitate what is so obviously a dead corpse of a show is beyond me.
Please, like in the novel and in the movie just let CARRIE die! Enough already!
Jbm, there is language, they'll say ****, damn, hell, bitch, etc - No F-bombs. There are drug and alcohol references as well as sexual innuendos, and one scene where it is obvious that Chris and Billy just had sex at school.

^What GingerBreadMan said. Also, Carrie appears fully nude for a few seconds during the scene in the locker room.
The production at La Mirada definitely featured f-bombs, but I would think it would be fine for anyone in their teens. I'm excited to hear the reports of how this plays at the Los Angeles Theatre. I can't get the La Mirada production out of my head - its definitely haunting.
I apologize if I was misguided on the use of F-bombs - I have only seen one production of the show and it was done by high schoolers, so the word may have been cut to make it more age-appropriate.
I believe the F-bombs are a choice depending on the production. I did the show's Louisville premiere and there were not any in the script at all. La Mirada probably added it to their production to add another layer of harshness to the viciousness of the bullies. I would say the show is fine for a 15 year old. I started getting into the show the summer of my freshman year of High School, so I started listening to it at 13, then performed in it at 15.
