re: Richmond, Ind. - 'Laramie Project' actor severely beaten

I go to the same school here in Richmond with Joe and its just awful that this happened to him. We as students here don't have the best relationship with Richmond but nothing this bad has happened at least since I've been here. I'm not best friends with Joe but he was always very nice to me whenever we passed by each other. I hope he gets better soon. We have a concert and vigil scheduled in his honor.

Just what I wanted to see the day I find out that I am moving to Indy soon.
"All the while making faces like a baby platypus who forget to take some Beano before eating a chimichanga." FindingNamo in reference to Jessica Simpson's singing.

I know hate happens all the time, and all around us, but an event such as this, brings to light how ignorant people truly can be. I am sending love and prayers Joe's way.

Actually, Indy tends to be a lot more tolerant than the rural areas. I can give you advice on the theatre scene in Indy if you'd like KelRel just PM me. Richmond is actually right on the border with Ohio while Indy is in the center of the state. They are 70 miles apart. It is very sad. Ball State is about an hour away from Richmond. Ball State did the Laramie Project several years back and I can't remember if they faced any opposition from the community. (Before my time at Ball State.) Thoughts and prayers from up here.
