There's a movie remake happening with Dame Judy Dench, Sir Derek Jacobi, M Pfeiffer, Johnny Depp, and Leslie Odom Jr. soon. Which stage producer would give this money, unless it comes out like this season (for which it's probably too late)?

Unless they boot out In Transit. Hey, they might be able to reuse some of the set pieces and promo material if they move the plot to a NY subway instead.

It's playing at McCarter just up the highway from my college, so I might go see it.

I don't see this doing extremely well though without possibly a star in the cast or a small enough theatre (especially since the Hayes is out of commission for now)

I spoke with Max Von Essen about ORIENT just as he was about to start rehearsals. He was excited about it and called it "a real ensemble piece". He didn't mention anything about a Broadway transfer.
