Riedel also told us that Groundhog Day was to be the latest import from London to "trample its rivals." So, sure, Jan.

I adore Shirley Henderson! Mostly know to US audiences as Moaning Myrtle in the Harry Potter films. She is a superb actress. Would love to see her on stage.

"Broadway...I'll lick you yet!"

I could see Girl from North Country being moderately successful. It's a fairly well known catalog of music.

While I was in London recently, I had no urge to see "The Ferryman" as every element about it just screamed New York transfer, so I knew I'd be seeing it here before too long. I'd be shocked if it didn't come in either to broadway or somewhere like BAM or the Atlantic (I know its probably too big a play for the Atlantic's space judging by the cast size)

Yeah, I could see The Ferryman taking over the Hudson if the Dreamgirls thing doesn't work out.

And the other shows sound interesting to me. I think "Girl From North Country" sounds like such an interesting spin on a juxebox musical, I'd be curious to see it.

SAMMMEE!!!! However, my intro to her was an Einstein documentary on PBS some years ago, and remember seeing her in HP the first time a while later and I remember I was trying to place her for WEEKS!

I'd love to see a transfer of The Ferryman, but I imagine a 3.5-hour play with more than 20 speaking roles could be a tough sell.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

I really hope The Ferryman transfers. I've had friends see it who are very avid theatergoers and said it was one of the best plays they've seen in a long time.

A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.

Also psyched about Shirley, Whom, by the way, I thought would have been the definitively inspired choice for Helen in Bullets Over Broadway. And she's a fine singer as she proved in Topsy Turvy,
