Dame Edna and Michael Feinstein are shopping around a show for the spring.

Liev Schreiber will play Eddie Carbone (isn't he a bit young?) in a Gregory Mosher-directed revival of A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE.

Anything that gets Dame Edna back on Broadway is fine with me!

Both Riedel's announcements were a cause of joy to me. Dame Edna alone makes any season brighter. And A View from the Bridge with Liev Schreiber -- sounds like theatrical heaven to me. Great play, great part, great actor. Spring is already looking good!

Dame Edna's "Send In The Clowns" is a masterpiece.

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

Liev is 42. Anthony LaPaglia was 40 when he played it.

LaPaglia was beyond brilliant in that show. That's one of those productions I'll never forget, I thought it was so perfect.

I think Dame Edna's "Losing My Mind" is better than her "Send in the Clowns," personally.

But yay!

I agree re: LaPaglia -- he was magnificent. I also remember a production done in the early 80's with Tony LoBianco that was awesome. Those are both two mighty pairs of shoes to fill, but I have total faith in Schrieber. Can't wait!!

Didn't they do VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE like, not that long ago?

Love the Schreiber, but I would rather you-know-who to reprise the performance he got raves for in Dublin.

Hint: Look left.

Borstal, I believe the LaPaglia was somewhere between '96 and '99.

And not to mention the (wonderful) production that was just in London, with Ken Stott, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio and Hayley Atwell, directed by Lindsay Posner. That was unforgettable.

"Back With a Vengeance" was by far the funniest night I have ever spent in my life. I love comedy but never laugh out loud, and I was so bad, especially during the first 20 minutes, that I almost had to remove myself from the theatre.

Needless to say, this is wonderful news.

Absolutely.

And if the theatre was full of teenagers that is because this work is on the English national curriculum.

Didn't notice any kids when I saw it. Then again, I saw the second or third preview.
