It is indeed very sad that he died. I knew this just now by looking at this board.
I saw him in La Cage Aux Folles, and I thought his performance as Georges was funny and moving. That's my memory of him, my favorite memory of him as well.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.

Quite a career - covering MANY bases.
Honestly, I thought he was older.
God forgive me, but it quickens my heart to think we're that much closer to losing Julie, which is TRULY going to be a day of mourning for me.
But he seemed to have a good time in his life, and that's the best any of us can hope for.

I am truly saddened by this news, What a wonderful man, a legend !!! A true legend! I am so upset I can't believe he is gone
As a true julie fan I don't even want to think of her passing. That will never happend.
