It is indeed very sad that he died. I knew this just now by looking at this board.
I saw him in La Cage Aux Folles, and I thought his performance as Georges was funny and moving. That's my memory of him, my favorite memory of him as well.

Sorry to hear that. He will, however, be immortal in Broadway musical theatre if, for nothing else, having introduced "If Ever I Would Leave You," one of Broadway's greatest songs. Thank you, Robert.

Quite a career - covering MANY bases.
Honestly, I thought he was older.
God forgive me, but it quickens my heart to think we're that much closer to losing Julie, which is TRULY going to be a day of mourning for me.
But he seemed to have a good time in his life, and that's the best any of us can hope for.

I am truly saddened by this news, What a wonderful man, a legend !!! A true legend! I am so upset I can't believe he is gone
