Alice Cooper's version of JET SONG and Todd Rundgren's SOMETHING'S COMING (both from West Side Story, of course) are pretty damn good.
The first time I saw THE MUSIC MAN, I was surprised to larn that TILL THERE WAS YOU was not originally done by the Beatles!

I was raised on the Gimme Gimmes. Literally, my brother was a punk and that's what we did our chores to. There are whole albums, by various punk bands of Grease and Rocky Horror. I think they are called "Greased" and "Rocky Horror Punk Show" but i am not sure.

Posted: 4/15/05 at 2:17amThe CD is entitled, "Are a Drag" and performed by Me First & The Gimme Gimmies. Highlights include, "Over the Rainbow", "Favorite Things", "Rainbow Connection", "Tomorrow", and "What I Did For Love." It is a pretty enjoyable CD for something completely different to listen to...

Lemonheads = Frank Mills
Mettalica has "America" as a riff on one of their songs.
