1.5 shows? He switch in the middle or something?
yes, Constantine injured his hand and was already fighting vocal fatigue so he left after act one of the matinee.
i saw that show as well as the evening show, JWo as Drew was adorable, much different from Connie (obviously).
I have also seen Geoff as Drew... many of you know I disliked JJ in the role, but Geoff was a million times worse.

What did they do, just announce the switch during intermission? JW do anything funny to acknowledge the change once he was on?

they announced it at Intermission, we noticed it during Here I Go Again, because Eric Sciotto (sp?) came out as Joey Primo. JWo didn't say anything, but Mitch did... during the line where he usually says "Dude, I think you're wrong, Phil Collins is kickass sometimes", Mitch said something like "dude, ever since the night of the concert it's like Drew has been a completely different person."

Kerry takes off Sundays to go to church?
Did she do that during Xanadu?

Posted: 2/25/10 at 5:49pmShe takes off Sundays for vocal rest. Apparently, the Sherrie role is hard on some people's voices, better to skip the two Sunday shows than risk hurting herself like Spanger supposedly did.

What's wrong with the ushers?
& Constantine said he had a sinus infection not vocal fatigue.
But that would have been amusing to see.

I saw Constantine on Tuesday, Im sure that he was in top shape if he went back to the show on Thursday(they are off on Weds), he is such a trooper, his voice didn't sound a 100% but he kept working like the fabulous professional he is, and he pulled it off, and most people didn't notice a thing.
I noticed because I have seen the show 4 times. He was still great!
And if Kerry takes Sundays off for vocal rest, it definetly pays off, her voice was fantastic!!!
I hope Amy comes back to the show, and this time takes Sundays off too.

the weekend connie missed was the end of january, so it had no baring on how he felt this weekend. He had his solo show Wednesday night and missed Thursday this week due to a Vanity Fair event.
I don't know that Kerry is taking Sunday's for vocal rest, so much as she wanted the time to spend with her daughter.
I for one hope Amy never comes back.

I'm going to miss Kerry very much. Not only is she great as Sherrie, but she's a genuinely nice person. Love her.
As for her replacement...I think they should give her understudy, Emily Padgett, a shot. She's terrific. I'll second the wish that Amy doesn't come back. As much as I loved her in Wedding Singer, she was all kinds of wrong as Sherrie.

Posted: 2/27/10 at 12:30pmI remember reading that also, she needed time to be with her daughter. Good for her, they must have wanted her badly to agree. Anyone know other actors with days off in their contracts?

Kerry took Sundays off as a "RELIGIOUS holiday". i'm sure she does more than religious stuff on sundays but it was written in her contract so she can take that day off.
Emily Padgett deserves replacing Kerry. She is SO great and a very nice treat to see on stage.

Kerry can give whatever reason she wants for taking Sundays off - but let's be honest, she saw what happened to Spanger's voice, and didn't want to suffer the same fate. It's obvious.
Gives her a nice 3 days on, 1 day off, 2 days on, 1 day off schedule, with only 1 day of double duty, followed by rest. Don't blame her at all.
Definitely think EP should get the role fulltime. Think she will too, assuming she wants it (why wouldn't she?).

i'm sure we'll find out soon enough who is replacing Kerry, considering that she now has 11 shows left (she's out Monday 3/1.)
(edited because i can't spell at 12:30am)

"Why was Amy so bad as Sherrie?"
I just didn't care for her take on the role. She played Sherrie as more of a ditzy cheerleader, and left out the vulnerability that gives heart to the character. JMO, obviously, but Savannah Wise was my favorite Sherrie, and Kerry my second fave.
