dramamama- I've noticed that in the last year or so box offices have made a small event out of it by having cast members present or giving gifts to the first people in line to buy a ticket. Some recent examples being Bridges to Madison County, which gave gift bags; Cabaret where they had a drawing for prizes including a Roundabout subscription, merchandise and some other stuff... as well as free refreshments; and Big Fish gave out free ice cream.
