Previews start tonight, and I have tickets in a couple of weeks. Anyone going?

Posted: 7/2/19 at 8:58amI’m pretty sure it started last week. A friend saw it and thought it was dull.

I really disliked this play. It was full of cliche and, unfortunately, fairly amateurish writing and acting. It's an important global topic and it's a pitty the play is so boring I spent most of the time going "oh who CARES?" even though it is life and death for the main character.

There was nothing about it that felt even remotely honest.
Lazy writing that needn't have been stretched in to two acts.

First act was a bore, but it set up the second act to soar.
The second act saved the entire thing. Explosive.
With that said, I wouldn’t recommend this show to anyone. It was truly just ok.

I guess I am in a minority here. I thought the acting was very strong across the boards. I also liked the staging which I found to be very fluid. The script may never win any awards, but it held my interest and the scenes moved along with a sense of urgency which I appreciated. I think the director has a bright future. Kudos to the stage design. it was one play that could have used a tad more exposition.
