Hey, it seems there is a lot of negative attitude towards Spamalot, is anyone rooting for it to sweep the Tonys? I am.

i usually go for the underdog.
i personally am hoping for DRS as best musical, although it is a longshot.

Even though I want DRS to win so Yasbeck can get his long overdue Tony, I would not be unhappy if Spam won. It was a joy & very entertaining . The staging, a few songs & the cast & choreography did it. It could have been better but was still very good

I think it certainly deserves to get a few Tonys, I hope it doesn't sweep. How boring would that be? The shows this year seem so great, they deserve Tonys in their own right.
When I saw "Spamalot" in February... I don't know, it just seemed like everything fit together for my experience and I enjoyed it tremendously. I never had a better time at the theatre than I did at Spamalot. I am definitley rooting for them. And I am also hoping DRS wins a couple awards :)
im rooting for spamalot, but i hope it doesnt win everything and i also hope it doesnt lose everything (very doubtful)
p.s. starbust - love your avatar.
I am, too. I'm not saying it should "sweep", but I hope it does well.
I certainly am not rooting for Spamalot. It was my least favorite of the four nominated musicals. I laughed more at Piazza, which is not even comedic. Personally, I don't think it deserves to win the top prize or whatever it's nominated for. If anyone, I will support the male actors (I didn't see Sara and I hated the role). Though they too don't deserve to win, they were good, no denying. So yeah.
