Worst Ideas for a Musical:
The Terminator (The musical!)
Jackie Chan (a new musical)
or The Olsen Twins (the musical)
any musical that occurs in a space shuttle is probably not a great idea. 'Galaxy Quest' (an outer space review) starring Tim Allen.
any musical themed about about bodily fluids is probably not a great idea. Yes, I know everybody loves 'Urinetown', but you have to admit the idea at first sound kinda dumb. What's next? 'Saliva Village'? 'Bile County'?
'American Generic Franchise' the musical. Need I say more?
Best,
Anna

Yes! The John Cusack IDENTITY! (is there any other? lol) I love that movie. It would make a really, REALLY bad musical though. The way all the scenes are out of order and misplaced and it doesn't really make sense until the end, and even then you're still confused. lol. But, I love it. "Whore's don't get a second chance!" lol.... very psychotic "Sweeney Todd" like musical theatre character ... it would be crazy!

Some people didn't like Rent, okay. I didn't like musicals in general. Then I saw Rent and it gave me a faith in the genre I didn't have before. Sorry if you felt like you were robbed of $100, but for me it was really inspired and inspiring.
However, after I paid a lot of money to see Kiss Me Kate, I really wished I hadn't gotten out of bed that day.

Anyone think that there is potential for "Harry Potter: The Musical"? I can't say it would be good, but just some thoughts. I could totally see Hogwarts as the opening number, with lots of student dancing - maybe I'm channeling Wicked...but y'all see what I'm saying.

yah know I've never seen it but Titanic the musical just seems like an awfully morbid musical...I just can't picture it
hmmm...The Alamo-the musical...unless of course Patrick was in it
I have to agree with the Olsen Twins one...wow u'd just have to kill me!

Wicked_Elphie , TITANIC wasn't morbid, it was inspiring and the ending was uplifting. Triumphant! But, there are show I don't like too, so you can dislike TITANIC, but go see it before you say it's morbid. It may be a lot of things but MORBID was not one of them, almost all here would probably agree on that.
I'd also like to add to the list:
Shrek: The Musical, I think it's a bad idea.
and The Indian in the Cupboard: a rock opera. Bad, bad, bad.
