If you're under 35, I strongly recommend the FREE Hiptix program, whereby you can get $20 to all their shows.
Love 'em or hate 'em, and I often fall in the latter category, the program is unbeatable.
I signed up for it but never received any e-mails about discounts or anything.

There are no emails. You just call the number or go to the box office and buy your $20 tickets.
Oh okay. Do they tell you the seat or is it like TDF where the seats are anywhere? Do you pick them up at the box office or are they sent to the house? Sorry to bother you with all of these questions, but thanks.
They tell you when you buy the tickets. They're usually in set locations that are used for Hiptix, generally in the mezzanine, but it varies a little bit by show. There's also the Hiptix Gold program, where you pay $70 up front and that guarantees you orchestra seats when you buy the $20 tickets.
wdwfreak I would pick Wishful Drinking.
I am not the biggest Star Wars fan but after glancing through her book (which the show is based on) I was intersted and I brought my ticket.
Its Carrie Fisher the woman behind the "buns".
She tells about her ups and downs (and of course how she became part of one of the biggest movies series of all time)
It just seemed interesting to me as it tells the story about her life apart from Star Wars

HipTix GOLD is $75 actually...and it guarantees orchestra or front mezz. Just clarifying
Oh, thanks. I guess I had old info!

Honestly, skip most of the Roundabout shows. I can say anything for this season but they have never had very good productions. So I would spend my money on Hair or In The Heights just to be sure.
I am not trying to be a downer...but I feel like Birdie isn't going to be anything special.
I would definitely go see Wishful Drinking. I read the book and it was great. Carrie Fisher is hilarious anyway.

Never?

I consider myself to be a big detractor of Roundabout, but even I'll admit that they've had a number of excellent productions in recent memory.
Waiting for Godot, The 39 Steps, Pygmalion, 110 in the Shade, The Pajama Game, Glengarry Glen Ross, Twelve Angry Men, Assassins, Big River, Nine, Man Who Came to Dinner, etc.
So Chita you've seen every single production since Roundabout was founded in 1966?
DrunkChita is 13 years old. How many Roundabout seasons could he have actually seen?
I don't think he was even old enough to have seen Roundabout's highly acclaimed, long running Cabaret.
And you do realize Drunk Chita that Roundabout was responsible for your favorite theatrical experience of '08? Your words not mine.

Bumped to remind the world of your classy slap in DCR's face?
It was a good slap, after all.
