Who would you seriously like to see play Roxie or Velma in the ever aging Revival?!?
Personally I'd like to see...
Goldie Hawn as Roxie (since she didn't get to play it in the movie after all those years of rumors) and Madonna as Velma!
Okay, go...

would love to see czj and renee on stage, but i dont think renee is up to it
Jane Krakowski/Sarah Jessica Parker/Christina Applegate/Jennifer Aniston/Ruthie Henshall as Roxie
CZJ as Velma
Florence Henderson as "Roxie" and Shirley Jones as "Velma".
All kidding aside I would love to see Jane Krakowski as "Roxie".
I'll join the chorus, Jane Krakowski would be a great Roxie.
Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen
Kidding
Ripley and Skinner of course......
Seriously speaking, I second the Jane Krakowski school, her "Funny Honey" would stop the show. Actually, I'm inclined to think that if she hasn't played it yet, she probably won't. I can't imagine the Weisslers wouldn't have asked her in all this time.
Sarah Jessica Parker could be interesting...maybe.
I'd also like to see Sara Gettelfinger as Roxie opposite Rachelle Rak as Velma.
And of course Megan Mullally as Roxie.
SJP as Roxie
Megan Hilty as Roxie
Alison Fraser as Velma
SHHHHH CRAIG! Don't give Barry and Fran any ideas!
I'd like to see Roxie and Velma played the proper age for a change however.

I'd like to see a Wicked reunion with Cheno as Roxie and Idina as Velma. Although, I don't know how well Idina is as a dancer, I think she's more of a singer. Cheno on the other hand is a very skilled dancer as well as a singer.
Wasn't Chenoweth considered to play Roxie in the film?
If Barbara Walsh were a dancer, she'd be a great Velma.
Yeah I don't know if anyone would buy Kristin as a failed star...she's too good.

Actually, Kristin was considered for either Roxie or Mary Sunshine in the film.
Honestly I'd like to see Bette Midler or Christine Baranski as Velma
I saw Jasmine Guy as Velma, and another amazing woman as Roxie (I cannot remember her name), would like to see them do it again(This was a tour). I think Brenda was incredible a couple of years ago, but the Roxie they had was horrible(I guess I am having trouble with my Roxie names). Somebody I would like to see try Roxie is Ellen Greene.
I actually would love to see Christine Baranski in any leading role...I hear she is excellent.
Sherie Renee Scott would be a fun Roxie.

Ethel Merman (Velma) and Mary Martin (Roxie)
ELLEN GREENE! She would be an incredible Roxy, wonder why they haven't looked her way yet? Oh right, she's not a TV star from an 80's sitcom.

ROXIE:
Vanessa Williams
Jane Krakowski
Joanna Riding (a british actress)
VELMA:
Cady Huffman
Felicia Finley (can she dance?)
Wasn't Krakowski rumored to take on Roxie in London a while back? That may have been before Nine and Guys & Dolls. I'm nearly positive reading that she was offered the role but declined.
I would love to see Elizabeth Berkley and Gina Gershon in the show...and I'm totally serious. Aside from it being a glorious Showgirls reunion, I think they would both be pretty good. Lin Tucci can come and play Mama too!
This is totally a fantasy but I'd love to see Michelle Pfeiffer as Roxie.
Emily Skinner would be a good Mama Morton, as would Bette Midler (can you imagine the Box Office the show would do if she joined for a limited run?)
Bette in CHICAGO is about the only thing that could get me to buy a ticket to it again.
Lane and Broderick.
Sorry, it just had to be said.
Pink as Velma
Christina Aguilera as Roxie
Jane Krakowski as Roxie
JoAnn Hunter as Velma (anyone know her, fabulous dancer, she was in Steel Pier, ...Millie)
Hugh Jackman as Billy Flynn
Kathy Bates or Ann Harada as Mama
Denis O'Hare as Amos
The fact that you mentioned Pink in the same post makes me think you're joking about Christina Aguilera, but I've always thought Christina would be wonderful as either Roxie or Velma. She's kind of been my dream star for "Chicago" for a while, even though sometimes I'm embarrassed to admit it because I don't want to sound like some stupid tourist or teenage girl who just wants to see pop stars on Broadway. I think she's a great singer, and the show's jazzy style and the kind of badass, modern take on the whole vintage retro 20's idea is totally her thing. Did you guys see her doing "Stepping Out" on the Tony Bennett special? Sometimes I can just hear her doing her crazy sexy riffs at the end of All That Jazz. I honestly think she'd be incredible... a different sound than most Velmas, but still incredible.
