So sad. May she recover quickly!

"Rue McClanahan suffered a minor stroke while recovering from heart bypass surgery, according to a report on E.com.

The Emmy Award-winning actress underwent the surgery in November after being diagnosed with acute cardiac illness during a routine physical exam. She then spent two weeks in the ICU after doctors successfully removed a blood clot in her brain. Her recovery has been slow but steady, with her speech and movement on the right side of her body affected.

She is currently undergoing physical therapy and is expected to be released from the hospital by the end of the month..."

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

Pray that "Blanche" recovers quickly, and fully. We don't need to lose another "Golden Girl".

I was surprised to find myself tearing up when I read this. It just makes me feel so sad. I guess the feeling is that "Blanche" will always feel like a survivor who can overcome anything. I'm praying that the same is true of her creator.

I hope she recovers quickly

I hope that she recovers fully and quickly for the sake of her AND her family. A stroke can be one of the most devastating things that can happen to a family member- in many cases worse than death. Luckily, this was just a minor stroke and if she's recovering already, she should be fine.
