She plays Morrible as a drunk...Simply put.
And I think she may have actually BEEN drunk when I saw her on the 14th of July. Never the less, she is still hysterical- but for ALL the wrong reasons.

Posted: 7/17/05 at 4:01pmThis is disappointing! I love Rue McClanahan (she'll always be Blanche Devereaux to me) and I was looking forward to her performance. Perhaps she'll get better with time?

Posted: 7/17/05 at 4:45pmshe didnt do autographs after the show....they security gaurd said everyone had left, but I think she wuz waiting until everyone left before she came out of the stage door
"Let the little girl go, and that poor little dog? Dodo." That's my favorite line in the whole show (Wicked). My next favorite line is "Oh! It seems the artichoke is steamed."

Posted: 7/17/05 at 4:55pmJoshua488, there are a number of opinions on Rue's performance. I don't think that you should let one person's opinion sway you one way or the other. RustyJusty830 did not like her and the New York Times did so maybe you should judge it for yourself. That's what I plan to do pretty soon.
