Rue interview on Bway.com

Speaking of, I was wondering if your Golden Girls co-star Bea Arthur—who was famous on Broadway for appearing in Mame—had any advice for you about going into Wicked?
She hasn't even acknowledged that I'm in it.

Oh. Well, you wanna ask her anything via this interview on Broadway.com?
Oh, I don't need her advice, honey.

OUCH!

That interview seems weird. I don't know why. It just seems weird. What she said was weird.

I think (or hope) that the interview would come off better in person, with more of the humor and warmth coming out. In print it sounds a little harsh, and yes, weird.

She seems rather contemptuous of musicals.

I REALLY dislike rue as madame Morrible;she is well, awful. The funny thing is whenI heard Carole Shellye was leavingI thoguht that Bea Arthur would make a GREAT Morrible, she is too thin, she was the speaking voice fro and a saracatic sense of humour.just my htoughts though.

OMG I would love to see Bea Arthur as Madame Morrible, she would be fantastic! I was just listening to her in MAME, apparently she could pull it off, that would be PERFECT casting!

I agree with Bea Arthur as Morrible. Then, when she leaves, Betty White could have a turn. re: Rue interview on Bway.com
