Rush For New Shows? Sunday, Gypsy, Heights

Howdy all, does anybody know if there will be Student Rush, Lottery, or SRO for shows opening this spring? In particular Sunday in the Park with George, Gypsy, and In the Heights. Any info on other new shows such as Cry-Baby is greatly appreciated too. Thanks!

i really hope that there is some sort of rush (hopefully student) for in the heights..i have a feeling that in the heights will either be a big hit..or will be a flop..who knows?

Usually they get it all sorted out in the fist week of previews, but you can be sure SITPWG will have the same rush as every other roundabout show. (Google it)

Unfortunately, if GYPSY does have rush, since it is to be housed in the St. James, the rush seats will probably be the partial view seats that THE PRODUCERS used for rush.

I went to the Rodgers box office last week and asked about IN THE HEIGHTS rush, and he said something would be announced in about three weeks. Since the producers are the same as for RENT and AVENUE Q, chances are it will be a front row lotto.

re: Rush For New Shows? Sunday, Gypsy, Heights

I'm really in a pickle. I'm planning on seeing Heights, Sunday, Gypsy, Cry-Baby, and A Catered Affair during the last week of March. Unfortunately, my only current option is full price (except for Sunday- there's a discount code out.) The total would be around 1500 dollars, which I can definitely not afford. When I saw 5 shows in August, the total was around 650 dollars. I made those ticket reservations only about two weeks before I left for the city. I don't know if I should do that again (I really don't want to risk much.) Any ideas? I wish I knew when previews start for Cry-Baby.

Roundabout does a rush and a student rush everyday. For the student rush I think they sell them a half an hour before the show, but it's only one ticket per student id which is annoying.

Maybe it's been changed though.

If the rush Roundabout did for 110 is their usual thing, it's up to 2 tickets in the mid or rear mezz (random, the seats they give you) for like $26.50 or so per ticket. Student rush is 1/2 hour before curtain and it's whatever's left at 50% of the face value. I don't know if it's 1 or 2 then because I never did that. I felt like the view was good enough in the mezz I went for the general (and cheaper) rush.

My "partials" for The Producers were not bad at all.

About 5th or 6th row in the last couple seats on stage right.

ROUNDABOUT Has their rear mez. seats for SITPWG for 26.50... they also have student rush before the show, any seat in the house at 50% off... 2 tickets are allowed for both.

But the BEST deal of all is buying HIPTIX for the shows... tickets are 20 bucks for ALL performances, and are available at both ROUNDABOUT box offices! AND you can purchase them in advanced!!! They had this available for boh THE RITZ and PYGMALION, and the seats wernt too bad! Towards the back of the mez, BUT you can get them in advanced, and are allowed 2 tix per student! check out the website... www.hiptix.com

Not to be particular, but the Hiptix tickets are actually $21.25, even though they're listed on the website as $20.

Just thought I'd put that out there for anyone planning on setting a specific amount of money aside.

I got two front row tickets for IN THE HEIGHTS at 37 Arts last year for $25.00 each....

Do you guys remember the promo last year on playbill during previews for $25.00? like the one they had for JOURNEY'S END too!
