Since no more inexpensive tickets are available...I was wondering what people thought the chances of getting rush for the closing performance of THE HISTORY BOYS would be.

I feel sorry I haven't been able to fit catching this show into my schedule and would love to see it this weekend.

Any thoughts?

What about SRO?

I noticed when I picked up my tickets for todays show that the last day for rush will be Thursday the 28th, but SRO should be available.

Hmmm...maybe I should give it a try.

What time do you have to get there to get it?

The box office opened up at 12. I got there about 12:10 and there were about 15 people in line in front of me and it seemed like all of them were attempting to get SRO and it was gone within a few minutes. I'd guess if you got there about an hour-an hour and a half before the box office opens you should be alright.

Also, if you're in the city before Sunday, I'd try popping in to the box office to try buying SRO for closing a day or two early. I'm not sure if they're still selling SRO in advance, but they were earlier this summer. I suppose they may not be doing this anymore, but imagine the trouble you'd save yourself if they are!! Definitely worth checking out, I'd say.

The last time I bought standing room, I got there in the afternoon sometime, and had no trouble getting a center spot (I don't think they even ended up selling all the standing spots, actually). Though, I'm sure it won't be that easy for the closing weekend. I'm glad I got my cheap/rear mezz seat a while ago! Should be a fun show!!

Even if you have to get there at 8 AM just to be sure, do it! You will not regret it. Do not miss THE HISTORY BOYS...it is brilliant!

I think my friend Richard already has a standing room ticket for the final performance...
