Has anyone gotten rush/lottery tix for Gypsy or Oh Mary and if so, where were they? Thanks for any info!
With Gypsy, I got a good orchestra seat (RIGHT ORCHESTRA Row I, Seat 20) in December by periodically checking the digital rush throughout the day and doing this for a few days. It told me what the seat would be ahead of time, so if it was in the rear mezzanine, I just didn't buy the ticket.
With Oh, Mary I still haven't seen it, despite entering the lottery for basically the entire Broadway run. What I can recommend though is following the account @Bryanthe_BA on Twitter/X. This person periodically checks how long the line is for in person rushes in the morning, and will give you a good sense of how competitive those lines are.
So for example on January 15, there were 28 people on line for Gypsy at 9:35AM and 27 people on line at 9:06AM for Oh, Mary!
Now that Cole has departed Oh Mary, I think it'll be easier to get a rush ticket for Oh Mary (meaning the wait may not be long.) According to reddit, the first folks went to the rush line at 2:56AM this past Saturday morning. Betty Gilpin starts Tuesday so we'll see how it goes. My friends and I are planning to see Betty perform but after she's settled in and we plan on getting rush tix.
