A friend associated with the show has said that she has been out sick for the past couple of days. I'm seeing the show Friday night l, and I was wondering if anybody knows if she will back. Thank you.

Won't know until she calls in sick. Or not. And technically that could still happen until 30 minutes before curtain.

She's been out since the Wednesday matinee. Conrad and Kelli have also been out sick on and off so there must be something going around.

And it's not uncommon for illnesses to spread throughout a workplace. Especially one where people work in close quarters, like a theatrical production.

It's also post-Tony week, when everyone working does 8 shows plus 24/7 publicity and rehearsals for the telecast. In addition to Chenoweth, Fairchild apparently called out Wednesday. Everyone is exhausted and susceptible/vulnerable to whatever bugs are in the air. Add a particularly brutal allergy season, and you have a perfect storm for debilitating climate that can knock the wind -- and singing voices -- out of B'way's best.
