For understudies if they find out day before, put in is day of, which means he probably is going on. He is a great talent, good luck Ryan!

Pretty sure this is just a put-in rehearsal so that he's set to go on if he ever has to. Tuesday is always the day of their understudy rehearsals/put-ins. Brendon Stimson had his Jack Kelly put-in in May and didn't go on until July, Mike Faist had his Jack Kelly put in a few weeks ago and hasn't gone on yet.

don't people sometimes just get put-in rehearsals without necessarily having a performance date soon/scheduled?

Billy Elliot did put-ins and it was sometimes days or weeks until the person showed up in the performance.

Oh, then my mistake. I'm pretty sure Ben has only missed one show as of now, anyways, and Garett Hawe went on.

you could be right, i just wasn't sure that put-ins were ONLY for when an u/s was going on that next day or that night.

False alarm he just announced via Twitter it was a put-in rehearsal! Ooops!
